What are cookies?

They are files that are downloaded to your device (computer, mobile phone, tablet) when you visit the Site and allow information to be stored and retrieved. Some are necessary to provide the requested service (technical cookies), and others require your consent (analytical/measurement, third-party functionality, advertising/behavioural, etc.).

Types of cookies according to their purpose

  • Technical or necessary (exempt from consent): these enable browsing and basic functions (consent management, load balancing, essential security of the Site).
  • Preferences or personalisation: these remember user settings (e.g. language). If chosen by the user themselves, they may be exempt; otherwise, they require consent.
  • Analytical or measurement: these enable us to understand how the Site is used so that we can make improvements (e.g. Google Analytics 4). They require your consent.
  • Third-party functionality/security: external services such as reCAPTCHA (protection against bots). They require your consent if their execution is not strictly necessary for a service that you have expressly requested at that time (e.g., sending a form).
  • Behavioural advertising/tracking: they display advertising based on browsing habits. They would only be used if you consent to them. Currently, EOLOS does not use behavioural advertising on the Site.
